was a drug store,
antiseptic saliva
dripping down shelves,
pooling on my lap.
I found enlightenment
in a pack of paracetamol
gagging on powder
& purity.
I cleansed my hands & heart
because one day
there’d be fingers on me —
my body,
diseased.
