off the threshold
ragged and swollen over earth
toes deep in Mtn. Dew bottles
atmospheric sunlight
bewitching pollen is a blessing
parade in miracles and dance in auras
brick will be laid with thickened mortar
garden statues re-sculpted with deeper-set eyes
rooted in ripped bed sheets
cheek to salt to icicle to warm palms
we eat with our fingertips
and drink upstream
common omens slide off stone like water
smooth boulders make contact
skin crying for Marlboro Reds and holy pine needles
erode like time capsules
